Hobart Radio International is "Global Community Radio" and we always love to help out organizations and clubs in need.
Our current campaign:
WHO DO WE SUPPORT:
We support our local Church for a start, Real Life Church on Risdon Hill, Tasmania needed a website - we supplied them with one and give continual website updates and technical help. The website is offline due to an Eldership decision.
Our biggest project to date is with a club from Bendigo, Aussie Queens is a fan club supporting the works of rock band Queen. We have given many hours of time to compile an interview back in 2006, and now our current interview, nearly half an hour in 2007. We also will be airing on shortwave the interview in late November.
Joining up with other radio stations is something we love to do, but also find very hard to achieve. So far two stations, primarily NRI (Network Radio International) and FM2000 have been running advertisements for HRi, and NRI is even financially helping us with an audio stream. Thanks for your support!
PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN:
Shortwave Number Stations are mysterious and something clubs need support in to help the outside world know what they're about. We did that for the Enigma club and Spooks.
We support free-to-air radio stations, we featured an hour programme called "Pirate Station Special" which looked deeply into the history and current trends of pirate broadcasting. (HRi is not a pirate station.)
The above project interlocks more with our aim - to help people wanting a hobby radio station, or a career in the media. We can help with technical training of DJing, promotions mixing as well as vocal training and some editorial policies and copyright issues.
