WHAT IS HOBART RADIO INTERNATIONAL?

We are a shortwave community radio station. "Hobart Radio International" or "HRi Radio" for short provides educational and entertaining programmes for a global audience since Nov 2003. We are the only shortwave radio service of Australia to Europe; as ABC's Radio Australia is only beamed to the Asia-Pacific Region.

We are not just confined to shortwave, make sure you listen to the Podcasts found all over the website. We are a non-for-profit cultural radio station with music from around the world as well as a unique style of programming.

We are heard throughout Europe and with good conditions Canada, USA and South American have the chance to tune in too. 

This website is more than just information about Hobart Radio International, containing a photo gallery, my hobby work of shortwave radio and other projects like "Sounds of Hobart" which are not offered on many radio stations websites.
